22/03/21 Drawing

This drawing session we looked at Robert Frank The Americans, Tarkovsky - Stalker - Film Still, Gordon Parks (American, 1912-2006) Untitled, Harlem, New York, Vitorrio De Sica - The Bicycle Thieves - Film still and Charles Sheeler (American, 1883-1965) Ford Plant – Criss–Crossed Conveyors 1927.

In this drawing session, Kat told us to focus on the perspectives and the horizon line. The hardest one to find was the Criss Crossed Conveyors where there so many diagonal lines and horizontal lines. My favourite drawing from this session is the Bicycle Thieves because you can see the scale of the building compared to the child. All these drawings were done by a 4B pencil which gave a bold scratchy linemkaing.
