At campus I wanted to finish my two tasks. My pixilation that was inspired by Dom/House and do some research or look into a basketball sequence. First I looked into doing the pixilation and drawing up the main inspiration and noting her actions. I took out a tripod and a camera: a really good one. I really have no clue about cameras. Kat help me out with set and provided me with a blank white backdrop. She helped me with directing me and also capturing the frames in Dragonframe.

My first take of the pixilation was rapid. It probably ended less than half a second. It was shot 24 frames and I only moved my head 5 times. After reviewing, the first take and comparing it to the woman in Dom/House. Kat and I decided we needed to go slower and take little adjustments to my head. She helped me with her fingers and she forgot to use a vital tool, the onion layer.

Take two was perfect. It looked zombie like and almost as I was day dreaming. The only downside is that lighting only captured one of my face and I was dead square on the camera but it'll do for a small pixilation.

Onto the next shot, I wanted to look to a direction. I faced the way I wanted because the light was that side. I wanted to look to the light side rather than the light hitting the back of my head to foreshadow a good outcome. I think this shot was way smoother than the previous one because I like the little minor shakes and my eyes were dead straight.

Final step was to get a brief view of editing on these shots. I edited them monotone because Dom/House is black and white. I edited these on my IPhone thats why its a bit lower pixelated but I like the monotone because it gives this grungy look. In Premier Pro or Lightroom, I could touch on the shadows more and the background being a lot brighter.

In the afternoon, I messed around with charcoal but nothing related to the damn FMP. Paperpiled a few basketball animation for research and looked into Pas de Deux by Norman McLaren because I liked the dreamlike effect of it.
