For a high action sport comes high action scenes and you would definitely need a lot of research so for research I looked into more basketball animations. I wanted to look at their movement, their camera shots and their type of animation. From my experience, I have only watched one basketball anime called Slam Dunk. The narrative of the anime was great and the animation was on top for an oldie like Slam Dunk. It reminded me like old Spiderman

and a comic book with their use of colourful colours and effects in basketball moments.

An another anime that was highly recommended by my cousin is Kuroko no Basketball. He says he loves the animation of it and maybe because it's modern. I was interested and so I looked into it.

After watching this in 4K, I was amazed by the smooth animation of the net and the ball. The action of the characters were almost superheroes-like and this created this hyped and goosebump moment when watching this. The setting around these chracters are always blurry and look 3-D which creates this focus onto these character which I love. I also love the way they emphasis where they are moving and how fast they are going with motion blue effects and using blur.

As anime will always be amazing, I looked into some short basketball animations. These two caught my eyes. The first short is and old animation but it feels smooth like butter. I really like how it cuts into different angles and pans the camera. My favourite shots were where we were behind the blue guy and we can see him dribbling.

The second short, I really liked the linework and it reminded me of comic books. The lines are heavy and thick. I like the emphasis of the blurry movements to show how fast they are moving.
